Free Maths TIP Released

Get your hands on the latest addition to the TIPS collection for FREE! We have decided to make this available to parents to give you an idea of what a typical TIP will contain. This one is aimed at the understanding of basic number - addition. You will find a number of easy, practical and fun activities within this TIP. You'll all have lots of fun while assisting your young learners at the same time.

Anzac Day

Anzac Day continues to be a key event in the Australian calendar because of its historical significance. Indeed it seems that each year celebrations become bigger and bigger. Even more interesting is the fact that young people in greater numbers each year are joining the marches and celebrations just as the real heroes with any immediate links to this event pass out of our lives.

Australian school aged children seem to be able to appreciate the relevance of this historical event and to enjoy discussions and activities that enable them to explore the event more thoroughly. They listen with respectful silence and watch with wide eyes as the stories are shared and as their teachers and other adults talk to them about how the day seems to embody everything it is to be Australian.

We have a great FREE CyberMentor activity available on our site NOW if you want to grab it. This activity utilises a range of computer applications to get the digital natives of today enthused and learning!

Exciting Future Plans

We have ambitious plans for resources to add to the collection already available through the Parents Can Teach 2 website. We will be creating a grandparent's section full of great ideas for grandparents to use to make the days they spend with their precious little ones even more exciting. In these pressure filled times when parents are calling upon their own parents to assist with childcare more and more, we expect this section will be immediately popular!

We will also be collating recipe ideas for time pressed families to access easily and quickly. This will include recipes for popular playthings like playdough and slime in addition to the yummy healthy foods we know the kids will love.

Blog Launched!

After an extremely successful first fortnight after launch, Parents Can Teach 2 have added this blog to their website. Aimed at providing yet another source of great ideas for parents to assist in their child's learning journey, this blog will get bigger and better so plan to visit regularly!
